David Abazs, Chair, called the regular meeting of the Crystal Bay Town Board of Supervisors to order at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance at the Clair Nelson Intermodal Transportation Center.

Present: David Abazs, Deb Johansen, Lise Abazs, Paul Hartshorn, Doug Perfetto, Pam Melby, Honor Schauland, Kendra Klenz – Lake County.

Unless otherwise stated, all actions have been approved by unanimous yea vote.

Motion by Paul Hartshorn, seconded by David Abazs to approve the minutes of the last meeting.

Motion by Paul Hartshorn seconded by David Abazs to approve agenda.

Motion by Paul Hartshorn, seconded by David Abazs to accept Treasurer’s Report.

Motion by Paul Hartshorn, seconded by David Abazs to pay bills presented for payment.

ROAD AND BRIDGE

Doug reports the garage is cleaned out and ready for Roger to begin insulation work. He will be starting on project next week. Report on roads / grating. Doug took Eric Warneke with him (Ashland) to look at new truck and reports it looks good. Looks like it had been well taken care of. Truck has 29,000 miles on it, is valued at $70,000 and are asking $58,000. It would be available in October of this year. There is a possibility of trading in our old truck. A sales person will be coming up to give us an estimate on trade value.

Motion by Paul Hartshorn, seconded by Pam Melby to give Doug Perfetto the authority to accept truck purchase for up to $58,000.

Doug reports trouble with front end loader. Paul will try to weld up oil leak. Radiator is plugged and will be sent to be cleaned / flushed.

Road Tour will be Monday night 7:00 p.m., May 21st.

PUBLIC CONCERNS

Kendra Klenz presented the results of the Recycling Survey for Lake County. There was a discussion on recycling in Lake County with homeowners and businesses. Incentives and having a table at the Farmers Market with information was discussed.

A letter from Katee Ristuccia was presented to board asking Township help in applying for residential grant from IRRRB for tearing down house at 6762 Hwy 1. Deb will call IRRRB to find any information.

CLAIR NELSON CENTER

Honor gave report on Clair Nelson Center. The donation box has once again been fixed.

There was discussion about the plans for extending the Pavilion. More room is needed to the Farmers Market and other uses of the Pavilion. Would need a slab and dirt hauled in.

Anything for Newsletter can be emailed to Honor.

The Youth Program to help Doug with any clean up around the grounds was discussed.

Paul stated he wants a new weed whip to use at Rec Hall. Deb offered the use of her push weed whip. Paul will stop and look at it.

NEW BUSINESS

Paul reported on the ALCCTA meeting in Silver Creek.

Resolution was presented for the Septic System. Vote Taken: all in favor

Motion by Pam Melby, seconded by Paul Hartshorn to adjourn meeting at 8:36 p.m. until June 19, 2018 @ 7:00 p.m. at the Clair Nelson Intermodal Transportation Center.
