David Abazs, Chair, called the regular meeting of the Crystal Bay Town Board of Supervisors to order at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance at the Clair Nelson Intermodal Transportation Center.

Present:   David Abazs, Deb Johansen, Lise Abazs, Paul Hartshorn, Doug Perfetto , Pam Melby and Christine McCarthy – Lake County Planning & Zoning.

Unless otherwise stated, all actions have been approved by unanimous yea vote.

Motion by Pam Melby, seconded by Paul Hartshorn to approve the minutes of the last meeting.

Motion by Paul Hartshorn, seconded by Pam Melby to approve agenda, adding Christine McCarthy from Lake County.

Motion by Paul Hartshorn, seconded by Pam Melby to accept Treasurers report.

Receipts:       $31,213.61                              Check Book Balance:  $215,000.78

Disbursements:  $16,559.84                        Investments Total:      $15,667.00

 Motion by Pam Melby, seconded by Paul Hartshorn to pay bills presented for payment.

PUBLIC CONCERNS

David presented and explained the Friends of Finland Brainstorm session concerning Housing / Historic and waste water treatment.   David introduced Christine McCarthy, and explained the desire and need to connect with Lake County with future needs and land concerns.

With Housing for ages varying from young families to seniors, with various income levels, zoning issues and other concerns will become issues.

Christine M. spoke explaining qualifying for STS Grants (up to 75,000) for under sewered communities. There was a discussion identifying lands for future plans and development.

 

ROAD AND BRIDGE

Pudgy reported on completed projects:   Nikolai Road, Pebbles Lane gravel.

Ongoing projects:  Airbase brushing, Helfinger Rd culvert.

An estimate of 350 x 3 = 1050.00 plus delivery and placement from Carlson Concrete for barricades on Salveson Road was discussed.

Both Mat Morrison and Roger Peterson need to be billed for 40’ of 10” culvert.

 

CLAIR NELSON CENTER

Honor’s report was read.  There was an attempted robbery of the donation box at RV Dump site.

Once dump is closed for the season it will need to pumped out and secured so people are not using it and to prevent it filling with snow melt.

Honor, Nancy Olson and Marc Smith will out of town October 19 – 22 at a “Economics of Happiness Conference.  All will help keep an eye on the place during absence.

Motion by Pam Melby, seconded by Paul Hartshorn, to adjourn meeting at 8:35 p.m. until November 21st, 2017 @ 7:00 pm at the Clair Nelson Intermodal Transportation Center.
