David Abazs, Chair, called the regular meeting of the Crystal Bay Town Board of Supervisors to order at 7:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance at the Clair Nelson Intermodal Transportation Center.

Present: David Abazs, Deb Johansen, Lise Abazs, Paul Hartshorn, Doug Perfetto, Pam Melby, Honor Schauland, Bob Nikolai, Adam Norcross, and Katee Ristuccia.

Unless otherwise stated, all actions have been approved by unanimous yea vote.

Motion by Paul Hartshorn, seconded by David Abazs to approve the minutes of the last meeting.

Motion by Paul Hartshorn seconded by David Abazs to approve agenda.

Motion by Pam Melby, seconded by Paul Hartshorn to accept Treasurer’s Report.

There was a discussion on the availability of funds for Truck Purchase in October. Possibility of shifting funds balances as needed.

Motion by Paul Hartshorn, seconded by Pam Melby to pay bills presented for payment.

NEW BUSINESS

Deb shared information on IRRRB grant for Ristuccia property tear down. Gave copy to Katee R along with papers to fill out and get a couple quotes.

Motion by David Abazs, seconded by Paul Hartshorn to pass resolution authorizing Crystal Bay Township to apply and receive funds from IRRRB Residential Redevelopment Grant Program for the Ristuccia project. All in favor. Passed.

Bob Nikolai led discussion on needed repairs to archway / gate and memorial at cemetery. Doug has contacted Marvin Morris and suggested when he is out at the Rec Hall for slab pouring he could go out to cemetery and give us an estimate on all repairs and slab for memorial.

Doug will contact Mark Wycoff to grind and remove stump that was left when CLP helped take down dead tree.

ROAD AND BRIDGE

Doug gave report on roads. Grading done, all in good shape with no damages from storm.

Both Park Hill Road and Mattson Roads will need materials to be able to continue plowing the whole road. Klinker road needs two culverts installed.

Paul led discussion on the need for a push lawn mower.

Motion by David Abazs, seconded by Pam Melby to authorize Doug to purchase mower for the Rec Hall.

PUBLIC CONCERNS

Signed Resolution for Waste Water Technical Assistance Grant Application. Deb will send to Brett A Ballavance at Wenck.

CLAIR NELSON CENTER

Honor gave report on Clair Nelson Center. Newsletter was sent out. Township insert was about $135.00 which included printing, paper, and postage. Insert was sent to Crystal Bay Township residents only.

Friends of Finland received a grant for the Timber Frame. There was a discussion on Pudgy being able to help with dirt work for preparation for slab. Getting an estimate (Marvin) Friends of Finland will be able to supply funding for slab. Andrew will be building Timber Frame (16×24).

There was a discussion on needed training for pizza oven when complete, which will be phase II of project.

Motion by David Abazs, seconded by Pam Melby to allocate some of Doug’s hours to Timber Frame project.

Motion by Pam Melby, seconded by Paul Hartshorn to adjourn meeting at 8:30 p.m. until July 17, 2018 @ 7:00 p.m. at the Clair Nelson Intermodal Transportation Center.
